It leads to Camp-I, THE SILENT VALLEY’ (20000FT 21000FT). This is also a vast, flat area of endless snow, deep crevasse and mountain walls, frequently washed by avalanches. Camp 2 (21300ft) is also marked by a rocky Patch at the foot of the icy Lhotse wall. Furthermore, Camp-III, Lhotse Wall (23000 ft- 26000ft). This is a 4000ft high ice wall, which is also climbed using fixed ropes. It leads on to camp-III, a narrow platform placed right out of the wall. A traverse then leaves to the Yellow Band, a rocky section. From this point onwards, you will also need oxygen cylinders. You will also reach the Camp IV (7,910m) after just crossing 8000m elevations. This point is also known as the Death Zone.
